Here is a delicious and creative solution for taco shells- cheese!
I had so much fun making these cheese shells. It was much easier than I expected, too. And the best thing about them? All it takes is one ingredient:
Lay slices of provolone cheese on a baking sheet. Bake for ten minutes with the oven preheated to 350 degrees F. Watch them closely so that they don't burn! The cheese is done when the edges are lightly browned.
Here's the fun part:
After baking, drape the cheese on something long and cylinder-shaped with paper towels underneath. This clothing rack worked perfectly! Let the cheese drape for 2-5 minutes, or until hardened.
Fill the cheese shells with whatever your little heart desires and dig in!

P.S. This recipe is from this amazing cookbook, which I highly recommend. It's wonderful!
